History
The Pengilly Booster Club was formed in 1989 by a group of
Pengilly citizens who saw the need to have an organization to
fund the operation of the Pengilly Community Center. The first
officers of the group were Don Burns, Jean Blaine, Jean Adair
Badavinac, and Helen Burns. The Booster Club became a 501c3
non-profit organization in 1991. In 1996 the Booster Club
became a charitable gambling operation with the funds used for
the operation of the Community Center, Ball Park, and to support
youth programs. To date, approximately $500,000 has been
donated back to the community.
Mission
The club's mission is to maintain the Community Center, Ball
Park, VFW Memorial Park, and to promote Pengilly along with all
its residents.
